Wow!
Thanks for the many responses! I'm so impressed and delighted to return to this forum a few hours after my first post and find so many nice comments!
What fun to find a group of people who think Shelties are the most-beautiful dog in the whole world.
I'm glad to hear about the markings, too. Teddy's father and mother had classic Sheltie markings, but she seemed to come out a little different. Glad to hear that *that's* perfectly normal, too.
Teddy is very lovable. My husband did NOT want a dog but now that we have "Teddy," he is 100% nuts about her. The other night, he was expressing his sadness that "Teddy will never have any puppies." I said, "Are you serious?" And he said, "Yes, I am."
He's come a long way in the last 14 months!!
And what's worse, Teddy cuddles up next to him at night and seems to think that he's just the bee's knees.
However, she is *my* dog and follows me from room to room. She is a very faithful little friend.
