Mother of "Teddy" (Theodora) says hello.

Wow!

Thanks for the many responses! I'm so impressed and delighted to return to this forum a few hours after my first post and find so many nice comments!

What fun to find a group of people who think Shelties are the most-beautiful dog in the whole world. :) I'm glad to hear about the markings, too. Teddy's father and mother had classic Sheltie markings, but she seemed to come out a little different. Glad to hear that *that's* perfectly normal, too.

Teddy is very lovable. My husband did NOT want a dog but now that we have "Teddy," he is 100% nuts about her. The other night, he was expressing his sadness that "Teddy will never have any puppies." I said, "Are you serious?" And he said, "Yes, I am."

He's come a long way in the last 14 months!!

And what's worse, Teddy cuddles up next to him at night and seems to think that he's just the bee's knees.

However, she is *my* dog and follows me from room to room. She is a very faithful little friend.

Welcome Teddy and Rose!

Sounds like Teddy is a bit of a clown - gotta love those crazy shelties, i've got one like that, his favourite pastime is making me laugh!

As for adding fullness and white - well most of us lather our pups in all sorts of fancy products to make them all white and shiny, heck Smudge is about to start a new trend by making them twinkly too!

If shes only 14mths old then her coat is looking quite good. It will keep growing until she is about 3yrs old, then you will regret wishing for an undercoat! Mind you, I know a sheltie (from a reputable breeder) who never did get her undercoat.

Full coat at 3 years, eh?
Maybe the NEW TRIPLET.. Teddy, Toffee and Smudge still have a chance then as they are not that age yet :) YAYYY guys, our lil coyote stage is over, and we are on our way to FULL COATS ;) lol

Sigh, our DH's are such tough guys!

After Timber died, David (who is really only my weekend spouse) really did not want me to get another dog. He relunctantly went along with it and within days, I kept catching him hugging and yes, kissing the dog!

Then I decided to get Indy (the devil dog) and David said NO, NO, NO! And what do you think happened? Indy is his grass-cutting buddy! I think DAVID loves the attention! Snort!
