Motion sickness

My friends sometimes point at my jacket because it looked like a waterfall hit me by hahaha but I don't mind and I have a separate jacket for dog wear so its all good

You might also try putting her in a crate. First, because you don't want her between you and your airbag. I have firsthand experience with an airbag, and that's not a place a person wants to be, let alone having a dog there too. It will kill her, no question. Second, because a crate is a more stable place for them to be, and they can settle well into it. It might ease the stress a little bit. My dogs act goofy when they aren't crated, they don't know what to do with themselves. In a crate, they just curl up in the corner and sleep, just like at home.

I agree Rachel.we noticed a huge differance in Jasper. As you say, they just curl up and go to sleep. (hence they don't see whizzing objects).

It was a differance of night & day with him.He actually traveled to and from Myrtle Beach in his crate, and Trapp did to.Not one peep out of them, and no puking.

Diva's sister used to get car sick. Meds(any number of them tried them all), desen, crate, blocking out the view etc. Nothing helps competely although they did somewhat. She was not scared of the car at all. It was all the motion.

What did finally work for her was essence of peppermint oil 2-3drops on her abdomen before she headed to the car, crate right behind the drivers seat(more motion futher back in the car) and throw a towel over the kennel. If it is hot, A/C on the kennel or crate fan.

Porter, Diva's son, will sometimes drool and rarely vomit(usually in Rachel Jeep, never in either my van or Rachel's van). 99% of the time he is fine. He has been riding in the car since he was 5 wks old. He used to drool and/or rarely vomit almost every time and just outgrew it for the most part with exposure. Diva's mom also has some motion sickness. So I do think there is a genetic component to it. Now Diva, OTOH, could ride standing on the roof of the car and have no issues.:wink2: Guess it skipped a generation.
