Muddy Hike Photos

Just curious, do you have ticks there too? I see all that tall grass and here it’d be full of them!
We do have ticks in Hawaii unfortunately, but they are not widespread (no idea why, they’ve been here a long time). There are no or few ticks in my area, but the dogs do get flea & tick prevention all year (we have no season without fleas and ticks). I’ve never seen a tick here.

There is no Lyme disease in Hawaii, because we have the wrong kind of tick.

those are awesome pix. my first thought was how amazing to be able to let your dog run in all that space........................
we have ticks in AL, I've pulled a few off the kids- they're bigger ones and as far as I know don't carry lyme.

My sister has a trailer year long at a private campground about 30 minutes from where I live and in the spring the ticks are super small, not much bigger than the size of a pin head! Add to the fact some of these are deer ticks (last year both her neighbours dogs got Lyme) so as beautiful as it is I refuse to take my dogs there. I’ll go for dinner but I leave the dogs at home! Oddly enough in the city not too bad but I avoid tall grass!
