My Feelings

I understand!

As much as I do love Megan, I will NEVER get over losing my beloved soul mate GR Tyler just over a year ago.....and now our 16 y/o cat Rainy just passed away SUDDENLY last week .

We now have Megan and Mindy, (our 13 year old cat), but I am still searching for that feeling I had when Tyler was alive. Megan fills my heart with love in VERY different ways than Tyler did and I am learning to be okay with it that way :wink2:

To me, there will never, ever be another girl like Kaylee. Many of us feel this way about our furkids. They are a part of us. We lost Kaylee in March to cancer. I was devastated. I couldn't eat, I couldn't sleep, oddly enough I just baked and baked and gave all these cakes and things away.

The best thing you can do is enjoy the time you have with them and know they had the best life they possibly could with you. After watching Kaylee's illness progress all I can say is - they know, they *really* know how much you love them.

Megansmom is 100% right. Tyler was my Kaylee. Lucy and Fiona are everything to me but K was so special.

I agreed with Sheri and Megan's Mom. All our Shelties are so special but there is one who is the heart dog. Emma is mine, part I think because of what I have gone through since I last Noah last November and particularly in the last few weeks. She has helped to heal our family from Noah's loss and is helping us deal with Mom's loss. No one dog can ever replace another one and we all grieve for our furkids so much. Someone who doesn't love a dog and been loved by one would never understand. Just enjoy each moment with Boo.

Ronna, Sheri, Susan, you see, besides all the other bizillion reasons, that's one more reason why women were put on this earth...to let men know, that it's okay to say what's in your heart.....at first I felt kind of foolish when I originally wrote this....all of you have mede me feel better about how I feel. Thank you all who have left me a comment........

Just reading your post, brings a tear to me. We all talk about that special one.I know Susan and many others here have lost that special babe.

I know Brian & I feel the same about Earnhardt. We were with his mom when he came into this world. He has been a special gentle soul, and such a companion to us.
I just don't know what our lives will be when the time comes, and he leaves us.

Trapp is my heart & soul dog. My life is enriched every day, just to have him a part my life. And Jasper is icing on the cake. All 3(oops..Bumper to) so that makes 4...our day evolves around these precious ones here.

But I know when the time does come for any of them, they will be safe, and we will meet again~

You're in the right place as we ALL feel the same way about our pets :wink2: Okay, you know our first names, what's yours?

I've lost pets before, but even the thought of losing Meggie makes me cry. She is my heart dog, no other has ever filled my heart the way she does. She has seen me through some very difficult times and I can't imagine live without her now.

Tearing up just reading your post! I've lost a dog once to old age, a dog that grew up with me. I used to always ask him, you'll live forever right? He tried his best and passed at 15.

Now I can't even bear the thought that there will come a day when my two babies won't be next to me. It's far too painful to consider waking up in the morning and not having Romeo breathing on my face, and Juliet curled up next to my leg. They will live forever. I'm sure of it.

You never forget, time does not make it better, and your heart really does not heal. I have lost 6 now...one sweet little girl the 15th. I lost my first little girl 5 years ago. I still think about her everyday. Every one of my furkids who have passed have left this huge whole in my heart which still aches. Because of the fact that I take older and sicker shelties no one wants, I know they may not have long...but I still am not prepared. I spend each day with my furkids and think "I hope they know how very much I adore each of them" It really does hurt to even think about loosing one of these amazing animals. The unconditional love and how they truly do become your soul mates. You do go on, but the pain is always there grabbing at your heart. Nothing can prepare you when they are gone...just sit and think about what you would do , and you feel the ache in your heart even though they are just a snuggle away
