My first agility trial

Awesome job both of you!!! Toffee was doing great and he was focused on you. Also glad to hear he didn't eat nor lunge at any other dogs.

As for the whistle, don't worry, even Master's levels people don't hear the whistle sometimes.

thanks so much guys, and Sheltie Nation Forums!!

I feel like I have come full circle, from when I first logged on and started to read your posts about agility (Silaria, Sharon, Anja, and Michelle and Cheryl to name a few) to considering maybe I COULD try this with my dog after all... to finally having entered our first trial

It's really nice to be able to share the journey with you all

Thanks for listening and being so supportive, nice to know we've all started somewhere!! I hope to be able to be as kind and supportive to any newcomers to agility as you all have been to Toffee and I :biggrin2:

Congrates, Great work team, the first time out is always the toughest, at least he didn't try to go visit the ring crew Like someone I won't mention.

Are you talking about Koji? He went to visit the timer, so she let him know his time ;) Silly dog.

And Toffee's Mom...we'll be here all the way to your MACH (or whatever title you want to get). hehehe.

No that would be Cosmo, the social butterfly, at one point he would get distracted by anybody in the ring ,and on more then one occasion has stopped by the ring crew seats to say Hi, he still a show off in the arena if the walk or something like that is near the spectator line you should see him it's like too too funny he trots across the walk in the perfect sheltie prance with his best look at me attitude eyes fixed on the crowd.

LOL. Love it. Maybe you should be doing conformation instead. ;)

Oh I don't know who the person was taking photos of our first trial, but I wanna kiss her, LOL
To have a complete stranger take a couple of professional looking pic of our first trial is making me a tad emotional, so cool of her to do that.
Apparently she takes as many pics of as many dogs as she can...
SO YAY good first trial and I am so proud of my little short strided man :D
