Naughtiness needs to stop

Hi,

I'm new to the forum, but I do have a suggestion that may help.

I have a dog gate, it's on hinges and it keeps the dogs where I want them. I set the gate up dividing the kitchen from the rest of the house. Muddy feet, stay in the kitchen on the hard floor, and keeping the dogs in the kitchen if I'm away is easy. It works better than chairs, and looks nice as well. I use the one that can be put on stairs, it has no threshold to have to step over and opens pretty wide for just about any size doorway...eBay $40.00

Crate training is fantastic for making sure the dogs don't get into trouble when we are not home. Older dogs that have never been crated won't take it well, so the time to crate train is when they are little bits. My 11 week old pup goes into his crate on his own for naps, he likes it, and does not see it as a cage, but his own personal den.
