coconut oil is very beneficial for boosting thyroid function. I was told to add it to my diet from a nutritionist...but for me it caused gastric DISTRESS, so instead I use it topically...I get the benefits w/o the stomach woes...and my skin loves the stuff...
Thanks. I have heard of positive benefits of coconut oil also. What I'm trying to find out from those who have some experience is if anyone has experienced any of the reported downsides (weight gain, pancreatic complications due to increased fat in the system, etc.) after ONLY administering coconut oil topically. My guess is that topical applications would NOT result in these issues occurring because of greatly reduced internal concentrations, but that is what is driving my question.
