It's probably better to not wait too long with a cryptorchid anyway. Deska was a crypto too, his surgery was quite complex as the vet had to go hunting for his testes as they hadn't even formed. And now I think of it, he had some bladder control issues for a few days after. Damn vet didn't give any pain relief and Deska always had a fear of the vet after that.

We did get pain and calm pills. It did help. Giving him as little as possible.
He is a jump and fly boy, so need to keep him still as much as possibe.

I was pretty stressed, too, because other than leaving him at home I've never left him somewhere else! Then when he was being led away he pulled back on the leash and his feet slid along the floor. He didn't want to go! I confess that even though I told myself that I was being silly I cried in the car for a little bit before I was ready to drive home!!

It is very emotional to have pup go through surgery or any kind of injury or pain. Absolutely cannot watch those ads on tv or read about any cruelty to pets.

I totally understand...when I had Piper neutered at 2 I stayed and watched the surgery and then I stayed with him until he was ready to go home. I would've been too stressed to leave, although just having it done was stressful enough!
