New addition!

Congratulations! I remember when you first came to the board and were looking for a pup. I'm so glad that you and Chico found one another.

Ahhh, he looks alike like my Elvis. He was a big boy too, but we figured he had more love to give. We lost him to Cushing's in October 2009. Enjoy your new addition. He's a cutie.

Welcome Chico

What a sweet face. My George had whiskers like that, and his eyes were different colors. He was the runt of his litter, and one of his ears didn't quite perk up. And I loved every inch of that Dog!

Thanks everyone. I'll be sure to pass the welcomes on to Chico! By the way, the right side wiskers are black and the left side are white. I've never had a dog with bi colored whiskers.

It is so weird that you mentioned this. Today in the sunlight I noticed the same on Mally. The right side are also black and the left side white. I was thinking about starting a thread asking folks on the forum if any of their shelties have this. Mally an Chico are "twins" is this department!

Aww, welcome Chico! He's so handsome! And he's so lucky to have found such a sweet, caring family who was able to take him in to give him the love he deserves! Reminds me a lot like my little Cody boy!:smile2:

Welcome to Chico, and thanks to you for giving a home to a Sheltie who needed one! He's a handsome boy.

Our Sheltie Angel Bandit was "supersized." His optimum weight was 35 lbs. We used to say he really wanted to be a Collie. He was a big love and I'm sure Chico will be too.

Some of my dogs have black and white whiskers mixed, but they don't have one color on each side. How very well organized Chico is!

He looks so sad and uncertain in the pictures. Post some more after a month - I would guarantee there will be a huge change in his demeanor.

Liam had black whiskers on the black of his muzzle and white on white.
