Jasper's Mom
Forums Regular
Hi,
I am a first time mom to a sheltie. My 11 year old cocker passed away July 17th, 2008. I was looking for another companion and ran across Jasper at a Rescue organization. I fell in love with this 6 month old puppy. He was found in a foreclosed house with a rope around his neck. The person that found him kept him for a month but decided he was too much trouble and dropped him off at the rescue. He arrived at the shelter on a saturday and i adopted him on Wed. He had open sores where the harness was too tight under his legs. why can't people care for animals better.
He is a cutie that loves to nip at my heels. I guess he is herding me down the hall way. lol.
I will need a lot of information and looks like the sheltie forums has a lot of information for me and Jasper. We started training class today.

I can't understand how anyone could abandon a pet, and in circumstances like that. He is very lucky to have found you, and you'll enjoy being owned by a Sheltie! And you're right, he is herding you--you're his "herd" now! Enjoy!
I hope they find those people and prosecute for cruelty to animals. That's terrible. There is NO EXCUSE for that!!
