I am currently looking for a job at a groomers as an apprentice. I've done some research on dog grooming but so far know next to nothing about it, except for on shelties. So I need advise, recommended tools, and whatever else you think I may need:o. I can't go back to school because of a money issue so Grooming Collage is not an option. Any help would be appreciated!:smile2: Thank you!

If school isn't an option, your best bet is to get a job as a bather and make a deal with the owner. Have them slowly train you and work your way up the ladder.

This is an "excellent" idea. Nice of you to share it with her.

Gina is bang on. You can also attach yourself to breeders.

A lot of groomers specialize in breeds. I can definitely see why.....having seen my shelties being given a shave by a groomer that thought she was a grooming a shih tsu, I get it.....
