Ok im confused...up until a few days ago I could keep the forums open and hit refresh and than it would blue out the threads from before(even if I didnt read them) and red new threads since last time I refreashed that were new...now no matter how many times I hit refreash it isnt blueing out the older threads its keeping them red..I have to hit mark all threads as read to blue them....Is there anything I can click to fix this?

No, it can only be one way or the other.

The system only allows one of two ways to view forums as read:
  1. Inactivity/Cookie Based - once a user has been inactive for a certain amount of time all threads and forums are considered read. Individual threads are marked as read within a session via cookies.
  2. Database - this option uses the database to store thread and forum read times. This allows accurate read markers to be kept indefinitely. However, in order for a forum to be marked read when all threads are read, the user must view the list of threads for that forum.
