Hi,
We bought Yuki home from the breeder 2 days ago and is very timid. She is 2 1/2 months old and gets her last shot in 10 days and have been told to keep her indoors without visitors during this time. I suspect she has not been well socialised, but definitely not mistreated.
We have a cage for her which she came out of for the first time this morning by herself. She likes certain areas in the living room and has not yet venture beyond these, doesn't like loud noises and is wary of people, backing away first, before coming forward for a pat. She does play with her toys and does follow me around the places she likes to go. She also had bloody stools yesterday (colitis), which is I'm sure is stress and move related. These are now normal.
It has only been two days and there definitely has been improvement, so fingers crossed I am worrying about nothing. My previous dogs have been very social so this is a new experience for me.
Has anybody else experienced this with their new puppy? And, any advice would be most welcome.
