New Puppy!

Oh, he's so cute. So tell me Sheltie experts here, are little Herbie's ears naturally tipped? It would be so nice if they didn't need to be glued down. He's precious!
 
Herbie is a good looking pup! Right now, he's still getting used to his new surroundings- including you :wink2: You'll see that he pays more attention to you as each day passes.
 
He seems to be doing alright with brushing and getting his nails done. I have been working on him getting used to the dremel, and he will actually sit there while I touch it to his nails if hes getting fed. I guess we just need to work on "come" haha. He knows how to sit on command though! (kinda...he knows the hand gesture but not the command, but still!)
 
My 16 month old appears to not know his name but that's selective hearing, I think! :lol: Mostly he'll stand there mute with his head cocked: "Hey, are you talking to ME?"

Good job on getting him used to the dremmel right away. My Bacca normally dozes away when I do his nails. I did get him used to it gradually as you are doing; now I think the buzzing lulls him to sleep.

As for the ears, it looks like one of them is starting to prick. If you care about tipped ears, now is the time to glue them down. There are threads on the site here that talk about various techniques.

Sure is a sweet looking pup! I just love baby pictures!
