New Sandi's pics

Sandi's'Mom....I check that rescue on a daily basis. I have a 12 yr old (today is her birthday) and a soon to be 2 yr old....along with a Jack Russell. I would love to give one of the dogs there a good home but have enough furry friends at the moment. My 12 yr old has aged very quickly the last few months. She is healthy but is starting to move very slowly. I will have to face her loss within a few years. That will be extremely hard.

I am just so happy that Sandi has found a forever family.

Thank you, dear! I so much understand you... Try not to think about the future loss. Unfortunately dogs don't live long, like cats. If they make 14-16 years it's a blessing! My poor Cassie was only 7.
 She was diagnosed with kidney failure when she was only 3 years old. :(

Happy Birthday to your sweet Sheltie! Please hug her tight for me, OK?.

We don't have a house with backyard. Otherwise my hubby would allow to get one more Sheltie. We have a flat condo in the 3 stories building.

Thank you about Sandi! We all are happy wth each other. She and my daughter are the best friends.

Sandi'sMom.....I saw there was a new post and I took the opportunity to go back and look at Sandi's pics. They are great....she is so pretty!

It's off to obedience class tonight with Sir Dash. We go to Hilliard for class and he is getting ready to take the test for Therapy Dog. He will be two the last day of this month and all I can do is hope he does well on the test.

Give Sandi a hug from all of us.

Oh, how very sweet - a "Therapy Dog". He will do fine, Susan, don't worry. Shelties are so smart and intelligent.

I will hugs Sandi for you, thank you. She will accept an extra hug fine :smile2: - she is incredibly affectionate dog - a kisser and hugger. It seems like she still "thanks" us for adopting her.

Please let us know how Sir Dash (cute name!) did on the test. I wish him the best of luck!

Thanks Sandi'sMom...I hope he will pass the test. I'm not worried about him, I'm concerned about the handler (that would be me) messing up. I will let you know how he (we) do on the test.

Sir Dash is a very sweet boy and I feel that he would make a good Therapy Dog. I am more interested in school reading programs for him right now. I am a retired teacher and would love to take him to a school, for children to read to. I would love to do that with him.....time will tell I guess.

His name came from an internet friend...that was his nickname....he named his Sheltie the same...and now I have a Sir Dash. Bill passed away a few years ago and I just wanted to honor him in some way. I get a lot of comments on his name.

Hi to Sandi from Sir Dash and Cassie.

Hi to Sandi from Sir Dash and Cassie.

He and you will be fine, Susan. Mark my words. :)
And who was Bill? Pls forgive me - I did not catch. The Sheltie before Sir Dash?

Yes, please, keep me posted. Best of luck! I think it's terrific idea to use Sir Dash to help kids.

My other Sheltie who passed last year, was Cassie. When you said "Cassie" it brought up memories.

Bill was just an Internet friend. He used Sir Dash as his Internet "handle". He passed away a few years back and I decided to name my puppy after him. A lot of people do comment on his name.

Thanks for your confidence in Sir Dash and I regarding his Therapy Dog test....I hope we can do very well. The class that I am taking is just to refresh his skills and to add a few more. He learns quickly but needs to be worked. If it would evey quit raining we could get out side for a quick workout. I do the sit stay and down stays in the house but not the same. I will keep you informed about his progress and upcoming test.

My Kassie is 12 but still a great dog. She sure puts Sir Dash in his place. He likes to get in her space.....but doesn't stay there very long....she is right after him.
