New Senior at Our House

Gavin says thank you :)
I am still learning how to not over tire him. His stamina is much decreased since he had his surgeries and radiation therapy. Sometimes when we are walking (maybe 3 miles, 5X a week) he slows down to a crawl for 5-10 minutes before perking back up like nothing is wrong. Usually it is when we are walking a slight incline at the end of the walk, but last night was pretty extreme. It was a flat path and he was slow for about half our walk, I made sure and stop with him to rest. Then he sees another dog and perks back up!

Thank you. :)
We had to return Trooper. He kept biting Rogue. Rogue is our little one at 17 lbs. Rogue is barky (I know you all are surprised to hear that a Sheltie is barky) and Trooper did NOT like that at all. So he went back to rescue.

And we brought home this little guy. We're attempting to change his name to Romeo. He came out of a hoarding situation and was so matted that his hind legs were matted together. So he had to be shaved.

Sorry about Trooper, but you gave it your best shot!..Having a happy pack is very important for everyone involved.
Hopefully Romeo will fit right in!

Sorry it didn't work out with Trooper. A good decision though. Poor Romeo, what a horrible previous life. Thanks for rescuing him, and giving him a fresh start. He looks like a real darling! :smile2:.
