Thank you all for welcoming me I'm not exactly sure if Gambit is sable merle or if he is part blue. I'm new to this lol And yes he just has the one blue eye. I found him through a friend. His previous owners lived on a farm and he got bit by a horse on his back right leg. When I got him there was a chunk taken out of his leg from the bite. The owners had shaved his back to keep it out of the wound. I found this site hoping to get some answers as to when his hair will grow back. Right now the hair is about 2 or 2.5" I just keep find all kinds of useful information on this forum. I love it already

there's no such thing as part blue merle.
if the dog is a tricolor with the merle gene, it's a blue merle.
if the dog is a bi black with the merle gene, it's a bi blue.
if the dog is a sable with the merle gene, it's a sable merle.
