No ice water for dogs!--MYTH

I have never had any problems with my dogs and ice cubes, but my oldest son is in track and his coach told him after running don't gulp your water because it can cause you to throw up or even faint if you drink too fast.
I don't know if the same thing can happen to dogs or not. I am thinking not though since my dogs always gulp down their water after a good game of fetch, and they have always been fine.

Missy almost always gags if she drinks too much water too fast. And she tries to do it all.the.time. I have to watch her and tell her "enough", give her a break for a couple minutes, then offer the water again if she's still thirsty. She's a goofy girl.

It can/does I had to limit how fast Dow drank ice water or he would throw up. Given only had wide open that was all summer
