Saw this today. I did not know that there was drug resistant heartworms. The article says it is extremely rare to see it in a dog, but fact that they are seeing it is not a good sign. Hopefully, they can come up with new drugs that will put a stop to it. Not much time without mosquitoes around here.

I always had my boys on 12 months of heartworm protection. Since I live in MI I never thought I would be at risk.
Curious about this statement "monthly heartworm prevention and a mosquito repellent” - is there a dog mosquito repellent?

They do. Search for it on Chewy. There are a couple of natural ingredient brands, and ones that are similar to OFF.
