Now That I'm Nine...

Mom is feeling better, so since I am now nine and we're both officially senior citizens, we've started hiking as often as we can. We hike up and down ridges, through the woods, and by streams where I can stop for a drink. Mom made me swim with her in the secret swimming hole -- I did well, but I'm not really fond of the water. But a colonel has to be ready for any contingency. Mom even has us set up to go on bivouac twice this summer! Here we are training for our upcoming adventures:

What a happy camper, pun intended! I did not know you were ailing, Chris, I hope you are back to yourself. Beckon looks ready for all the adventures you can throw at him! What a beautiful place to walk/hike. My girls would love the woodsy setting, nice and cool. Ooops, I can't say "my girls" any more, yikes! Gotta say, my dogs now! :D Hope you have a wonderful time camping out.

I too am glad to hear you are feeling better! Wow, now that has to be nirvana for any dog! How many fun adventures you are bound to have! Being a senior citizen has its advantages! Time to enjoy life!!!

Such beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing!!!

Yes - a colonel has to be ready for any contingency
- You are so lucky to have such a good teacher, is your mother in the army, too :confused2:
I think she has such a nice hat

-My mom is not in the army because she has no hat

Mom was in the Air Force. She's retired now. She says thank you!

Well from another couple of seniors - you don't look like one, you look great. I wishes I could jump like that. When mum gets better and we go home (which'll be real soon) we're gonna do lots of hiking and walking, but Deska can only come if his stroller fits and we will NOT be going to any water (hear that mum). Mum says since Mr D and I have been living with the grand-masters we've gotten real fat, especially me coz grandpa Des loves me most and has dementia so keeps feeding me and feeding me. And grandma gives me vegemite toast.

We know that no food substitutes for Mom, right?
