OFA for Agility Dogs?

Is it common or recommended to get OFA testing done on a dog before going into agility with him (assuming he isn't conformation/breeding stock, just a performance sport dog)?

Is an x-ray from the vet just as good?

Thanks for any advice :smile2:

I'm not real familiar with agility as some are... but I will say that I wouldn't think it would be necessary if you're not planning on breeding. As long as your dog doesn't show any signs of discomfort when working.
As far as just doing x-rays and having your vet look at them... it probably would be just as good as long as your vet knows what he/she is looking at. Personally, with me... if I wanted to have x-rays done I would just go ahead and send them on to the OFFA to have them look them over as it is only like $30 more.
