'Off' Morning?

Headed over to the vet to pick up Precious's monthly heartworm meds after reweighing her. She was 4.6 kg today. I thought it was a normal day but a lot of things caught me as 'off'. Starting from Precious calm mood to super aggressive, barking and growling from.... nothing in a matter of seconds? One other lady was by the reception. Precious saw her and we were there for about 15 minutes. She didn't show any sign of discomfort before then. She loves going to the vet, since we go in almost every month, she loves all the people there. We've never had a problem before. All of a sudden, she just lashed out and started growling and barking and lunging at her. Very unlike her. She doesn't act this way towards other people. She loves people and only gets 'excited' around dogs. But this wasn't excitement. It was aggression. It scared me, I wasn't sure what was wrong? I tried to shake it off, never saw her act that way so wasn't sure what to think of what might have triggered it. The lady literally didnt do anything. She was there from before till when she started barking. Nothing had changed. We made our way off to the park like we had planned. We didn't stay there nearly as long as we had hoped. Precious continued to act 'off' and started gagging or something on the grass. Her recalls and ball retrieves were terrible. She kept gagging. So I leashed her back up and started on our way home, I didn't want her to think it was acceptable to not listen off leash, since it was a privilege. In the car, she then started to drool everywhere. This wasn't like her. She use to be very car sick when she was younger, but that was 6 months ago. We've ridden the car MANY times since then, longer rides especially. Not a single drool now. But she was like dripping a water fall today. Wetting everything. And behold, she started gagging again. She vomited all over the place. Then continued to drool more. I drove as fast as I could home before a second vomit. =/ Definitely an off day from beginning to end. Maybe she wasn't in a good mood? Maybe something really was 'off'. Hopefully the rest of the day goes better. Maybe others can wish her a better day, thanks.

Oh no! Her behavior could definitely just be an indication that she wasn't feeling well. I hope that she is feeling better ASAP.

Ugh, not knowing what is causing the behavior and vomiting is so frustrating. I hope your day gets better and Precious is herself again soon.

Bless her heart. Dogs are like little kids/babies...they can't express theirselves & that can translate into behavior issues. Hope she feels bette soon.

Thank you everyone, she's seems better by tonight. Still no idea what happened this morning.. We're going out far to go hiking tomorrow so hopefully her condition is a little better. I appreciate everyone's concern <3
