My sheltie has IBD with the bloody stools, loose and solid. I have him on the Royal Canine dry and can food. Lately it seems like he is straining and nothing but a few drops of blood are on the ground. Finally after the second time, he does a solid stool, but with blood throughout it. Does anyone have the same problem? Also what treats, if any, are safe to give him.
Is this a recent thing or has he been diagnosed with IBD? Just want to make sure he doesn't have hemorrhagic gastroenteritis as this can be quite dangerous.
