Officially a 'Pet' Sheltie

I'll have to take some pictures :-) Oh, and figure out how to post them on here. Right now I only have Iphone pics.

The breeder is not keeping him because there is no one to breed him to. Lines would be too close. Also, they only keep a small number of dogs.
I'm just happy I'm his new mom!

I don't think the site supports TapaTalk which is the only way I have been able to post pics to a forum from my phone.

Now let the spoiling begin for Houston! (and continue for Mr Riley of course)

I second what everyone else has said...congratulations on your new boy:smile2: and I don't think you really need to do anything special to help him adjust. Depending on the breeder and their setup you may have to work a little on exposing him to everyday situations and get him used to a little more one on one time (which I am sure he will LOVE eventually). Domino is an ex show dog and we just found that because our breeder lives in the country he wasn't used to the city sights and sounds so we paid extra attention to treating him and keeping him calm when something "scary" came along. We also found that he was initially more content to hang out by himself in the house and sit near us but not with us. As we have developed a better bond he now loves to jump all over me.
