It has rained here for two days straight, and we have discovered that 8.5 mo old Olive doesn't like it. When the raindrops hit her back/head, she turns and tries to bite them as if they were flies! So, potty time has become a problem. She will usually pee (her bladder gets the best of her), but no way is she going to stay out long enough to poop. She drags us back to the door. Has anyone used the 'doggie raincoats' and do they work (as in, will the dog ignore the rain and attend to business)? Or is a big umbrella better? Or does someone have better ideas?
). What I did notice is that it really is about getting rain on the end of the nose, in the eyes, and getting feet wet. A few trips to the lake and my dogs love water now-but I still use the raincoat because even though shelties are mostly waterproof, they tend to stay wet and will srart to smell on a damp day.
