Olive is over the snow

Well we have somewhere around 2 feet of snow (BWI 5 miles north has 29") and I think Olive's over it.

We tried Olive's costume trenchcoat as a windbreak- that didn't last long (https://flic.kr/p/Cv2WhN)
So she spent Saturday in my sewing room mopeing (note the drift on the roof OVER our garage)
But mid-day today we were able to get out onto one of the mainroads in the development that people have packed down to ~3" (1) (2) (3)

(Olive was a little confused about why she was on the flexi we usually only use for stay training but that way I didn't take her down when I fell crossing the drifts:rolleyes2:)

that what the roads where we are have looked like for weeks, but off the roads are big drifts. Olive didn't like the snow, that's too bad...mine only balk when they are cold, otherwise they seem to have a ball playing and walking in it.

Poor Olive!

I hope she gets rid of the snow soon so she is a happy camper again!
Being small and petite does not make it any easier to navigate snow drifts!

I just love her face... so sweet!

It's so deep she has to swim through it- and she hates swimming. I decided to try to get to the road through our back yard and I wasn't sure she could make it on her own she was struggling so much. When we only had 2-4" she was happy but once it's up to her belly, or way past her ears it's no good.

Wow you guys have really gotten hammered with the snow. I can imagine it's difficult to deal with at that depth. Gotta stomp out an area for the dogs to go potty, I'd think.

Ironically, we are trying to arrange a trip to the snow for our girls beginning of Feb. We've wanted to go the last three years but Yosemite had no snow, due to the stupid drought. They've gotten a good amount this year, though. Brooke and Faith have not seen snow and Ally loves it. We want to go while she is still up to it and will enjoy it.

What's sad is we're in a middle area as far as how much was dumped on us. Northern and parts of Central Virginia closer to Chris got over 40". My family in PA got over 40 as well.

(Olive's potty area has been shoveled out 5-6 times since it started snowing on Friday, it kept filling in with how much snow was blowing)

I would gladly box up my extras here and ship it out if I could! I have been shoveling since Thanksgiving.:eek2:

What part of Idaho are you in? Didn't realize it had been that bad in our neighboring state to the north. We've had snow here, but it's warmed up enough in between storms to keep it under control.
