Olive trolls my classwork...

I'll post videos of this as soon as I can, but in the meantime, imagine if you will... :pop

I am taking a Japanese class and had to do a little presentation and videotape it. I decided to babble about random things, and then include Olive in the second half. Figured her cuteness would distract from any mistakes I made! I gave her a few commands in Japanese, which she followed like a pro because she knows the hand signals (does that count as cheating? if so, who cares!). Then, as I'm talking about how she can jump really high, I look down and what is she doing? Rolling in the leaves and grass and dirt, feet straight up in the air, making a complete fool of herself (or maybe me, not sure...).

Ack! I was supposed to use grammar for "commands", as in "don't do x". So I'd planned on telling Olive "don't eat that!" And of course she chose this moment to be a little angle and not try to eat anything she wasn't supposed to. I guess it's a good thing that I couldn't convince her to be bad, right?:rolleyes2::lol:

Too funny!

Olive gives me funny looks when I practice my Hebrew but we only worked on translations of the Tanakh into English so I'm not sure I could string together a command that would apply to her (and she's terrified of Tejana so my Spanish is even more useless).

LOL
Toffee knows I mean business when I speak German, lol
He's doesn't speak any other than 'Drop it' ... but it sneaks in when I am annoyed, so I speak German he stands at attention, even if I say harmless things like Easterbunny, lol

My Neechee understood a small amount of Cherokee. Bela just looks at me funny (astonishment at my bad grammar?) when I speak it. As I am usually cussing (it is a wonderfully scatological language), she just takes it in stride. I've taught her the Cherokee word for pooping, which sounds so much better than "Go poop, girls."

you should post the video. I would not even attempt Japanese. I remember sitting in Spanish class when I was younger. I was the last person to recite verb endings. I was so confident in my head, but, reciting out loud I forgot the accent and cussed my teacher in Spanish. Long Story short, class ended promptly, because everyone erupted in laughter (rightly so) and I didn't get into trouble because The teacher knew I was to stupid. I can't remember the teachers name, but, to this day I remember his red face perhaps because it was accentuated by the fact that he was wearing a pink polo shirt, along with a magenta jacket w/ red plaid bell bottoms. Yes, it was the 70's:yuckyuck:lol:
