Oliver, small, sable Davis County pound, Utah

Good news for both dogs. I called both shelters and found that Oliver has two people that want to adopt him and Myra will be going into rescue tomorrow.

Barbara from Utah sheltie rescue sent me an email about the senior gal, Myra, they rescued. She is deaf. They said she loved the car ride, a long one, to her foster home and Myra is one of the sweetest dogs they have met.everyone loves her. Turns out she is more corgi than sheltie but that didn't matter to them. She is also smaller than expected - 15 lbs. I love it when the seniors are rescued.

Thanks for the update Mike. Myra reminds me of Zippy. These seniors just melt my heart. You have to applaud Myra's foster mom for taking such good care of her.

Gosh that makes you wonder, doesn't it? She sounds like a perfectly delightful girl to me and I hope she gets adopted quickly. The lady at Utah Sheltie Rescue is wonderful - she and her husband seem like completely devoted people, and they do it all on a shoestring.
