Thyroid problems are prevalent in Shelties !!
My sheltie angel Jewel had hypothyroidism. She was a little tank ! But she was my tank and I loved her. but we brought her to the vet because she really didn't eat that much and was on a good quality low fat dog food. She lost weight but at a slow pace she was always very active. That's why we brought her to the vet for a check-up. Good luck and do yourself and your dog a favor and switch to a higher quality food. One with less Carbs.
