Panting good?

The only time my dogs stress pant is when they're at the vet's, on the table. I do see it then. Other than that, we get the happy pants and the heat pants. Pixie, like others, hates the heat (she's my dog for sure!) and is miserable once the temp is over 75. She will pant nonstop then, even during the night until she finds the coolest place. Barkley pants after exercise, but not too much from heat. And Checkers is also a heat panter, when she has a big, full coat.

Indy pants 24 x 7...to the point that I'm starting to worry that he has some kind of lung condition. The only time he does not pant is when he's gonzo-bonzo....

But he pants when he's playing, he pants when he's running, he pants while he's waiting for dinner, he pants if he wants attention, he pants, he pants, he pants. He just pants.

Is this normal? It does make me crazy!
