Paw Problem

Thanks, Dana, that is good information. Yes, they are hard. My vet will look at them again in a few weeks and probably will also want to needle them. Hopefully that will do it. I've never seen anything like this before. I appreciate your reply!
 
Ann, just wanted to write a quick note to say that I hope it's nothing serious and that the solution is quick and easy (and painless).
 
The white appearance makes me think cyst. Hard to see but thats what it looks like. Ember had 2 cysts, one on her right thigh and one near her left stifle. They were only about 2-3 mm in size. I have been empting them for a while now. The one on her right thigh for about a year. It was getting bigger 4-5 mm and I was thinking I was going to have to remove it and suddenly last week it is gone. Yeah!


If they are growing fast though take her back before 2 weeks just to be sure.
 
Thanks everyone for your input. I am thinking/hoping cyst too, Dr. Shelli, and agree that she needs to go back to the vet sooner rather than later. Right now they're not in a spot where they bother her when she walks, but if they get bigger they will. I'm going to continue to watch them through this week and make an appointment to take her back early next week.
 
I have nothing to add regarding what they are, but just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you and hope that they are just cysts, and nothing to worry about!
