I was a bad emotional train wreck and was slightly angry they had to do a sales pitch, asking if we wanted to buy this option before they euthanized her.... Perhaps afterwards but to asking during was a bit much. I quickly said no cause it was expensive and our family wasnt doing so financially great because of all of puddings extrvagant vet bills. So I quickly said no and just waved the tech away to give us family time alone... My brother had asked me why I didn't get it, if I was sure.... I said I can't think right now.... How could they think to ask me this right now and just wanted to be by Puddings last moments. My brother had left the room for a bit when the vet brought Pudding out to the euthanization room.... I thought he was giving us alone... A month later I found out he had snuck outside to pay for it and have it done after we were gone. It took a long time to get shipped to us.
During such hardship........when I felt so alone in a dark dark place.... Seeing my brothers gift just made me break down and cry. I was so upset the house wasn't smelling like Pudding, that all her toys were hidden from me, that all her photos were boxed away for a while.... I was so so upset I had nothing to remember her by physically..... Having the paw print and getting to touch it really helped my heart..... Ill definitely do it for Precious when the time comes.. I too haven't been able to frame it or anything cause I wasn't sure how but mmm your photo together with your sheltie is beautiful! Do show us the final frame up <3 I'll try to find my paw print photo on my computer too to show you!
Michelle, that is such a touching story! Your brother is one in a million. Your pawprint is way more elaborate than mine. It's one of the hardest things to have to say goodby to your very heart, and I couldn't think about things like that, either. My hubby (of only two months at that time) and my mom ended up answering all those questions for me, and my mom knew I wanted his ashes. It was even harder than making arrangements for my grandmother, I'm sorry to say. I had to be almost carried out of the ER vet's office afterwards. It was so hard to just leave him there.
