Pee every 10 minutes! Help please!

Our 10 week old puppy is peeing very often.

We take her outside, she does a wee and a few minutes later does another, then 10 minutes later another and on it goes! She drinks a fair bit too.

We have been to the vet for a check up and urine sample. All is well.

What is going on? This is my fourth sheltie and have never had this before.

Appreciate any help.

hmmm that is strange. My puppy pee's a lot but not every 10 minutes. If the vet has checked her out and all is well I wouldn't. Maybe measure how much water she is drinking day and let the vet know. They can tell you if it is an excessive amount or not.

Inwonder if some of it marking or nerves on top of little. When we got my 12 week old he was almost that bad. But could go eight hours at night. The second week a little less often and week fourteen he could go four hours but sometimes when having free play on carpet will go more often..... Grrr. Plus space doesnt feel like her territory yet. If in xpan or quarantined in kitchen not likely to have accident

Both my pups (shepherd & sheltie) had a phase where it was about every 20 minutes. However, that was the point I moved out of the crate into a larger space. Perhaps go for a smaller crate area and teach her to start holding it a little longer and longer. She won't pee where she has to lay and she will learn to hold it. Also give a command every time outside where she pees (command and then praise) so she learns what is a good place to go.

Phoebe did that too. I swore that she had three bladders. She learned early to pee on command, but that seemed to just empty one of them, as she would come inside and shortly do some more. At sixteen weeks now she is better.....or maybe I am better trained, but we still have accidents. We have been to puppy training class and in three classes she was the only puppy to pee on the floor every time. She has never peed in her crate or her pen, and has always made it through the night. From what I have been reading it seems as though the dogs who sleep through the night make up for it during the day.

My Lexi did that too. I took him outside he would pee and then we went inside and I left him alone for 5 min and he would pee again! It was always if I let him alone for some minutes. He also peed on his bed so he basically had no problem sleeping on his pee. I took him outside every hour or two(after every play session, immediately after he wake up and so on) for months and I gave him lots of praise and a very yummy treat just for good peeing. He just didn't get it till 7 months that's when happy days started for me. He is my first dog and I know I had to learn but It was terrible. Oh and he also eat his own poo, so when he pooped in his crate he could also had a meal. He never had accidents after that, only when he had an infection. Also it didn't help the fact that from the first day I brought him home from the breeder it was raining constantly, and he hates rain. He now goes on command outside to pee If I tell him, because he knows the quicker he does it the quicker he will be inside again.

Piper was like that at 10 weeks, I'd take him out to pee, take him back in and then a few minutes later he'd go in the house. I came to realize he had to have 2 pees in order to empty his bladder, then afterwards he'd be ok. But you also have to remember that at 10 weeks they really have no control over their bladder, plus every time they get excited they pee. With Piper, if he had a nap...pee, played...pee and if he played more...then another pee. Even now at 8 months he plays...he pees lol. Just keep an eye on your puppy and take them out whenever they're excited/just awake and no free reign, I used to keep Piper on a leash because when they have to pee they pee lol. Good luck!

I have a 10 week old lab pup right now, I am going through the same thing. She is starting to get better about it, but I do have to make sure she pees at least twice if not 3 times. She also used to poop 2 times within minutes.
