When Che was a baby I tried ONCE to spray him with water bottle...
to this day our grooming is a disaster and I had to classical conditioning spray bottle for grooming with MASSIVE, "rain from the sky" food reinforcement.
Susan Garrett described back in the 90' when she had baby Buzz and lived in the city, she tried citronella collars to stop Buzzy barking. She used entire canister in 5 days, had no mosquito for entire summer, but Buzzy never stopped barking. BUT even with him being almost 16 years of age any time someone uses a air spray like nebulizer type, he will run out of the room and hide.
With any use of punishment or aversives there is always fall back, and often not what you wanted.
If you tell me you used it once and your dog stopped unwanted barking for significant amount of time, lets say 3 months you have no problems, then maybe it worth considering. If you have to carry it with you and use it every day to stop your dog barking- I don't think so.
And with me I just won't do it at all because for me obnoxious barking is a battle worth fighting so I rather train my dogs. I live in Do land and using such methods would ruin trust that my dogs have in me. Not worth is for us.
For those people whose dogs live in punishment land- ti probably won't matter, they know and used to begin punished anyway.
I would consider buying this product for different purpose- if I see loose dog running toward us- will it prevent/ stop/ startle dog from getting into fight with mine?

I agree Barb. I have not looked at the product yet, but I can answer. It is kind of like being a parent. I know people who say they never yelled at their kids, it's negative. No, it isn't- when the reason for getting mad and yelling is a very important one. I had a difficult child. Not everyone does. I have a strong willed dog. I can yell at both- they don't cower. Because I don't do it often, and my reasons for yelling are clear. Yes, I yell NOOOOOOO !!!!! When I have to !!!

Ann sent me a PM tonight with her experience using this tool. She could not find my original post, so I'm reposting this in the hopes that she can find it again and share her results with the rest of us.
I've been stocking this for a few weeks now and without me or my staff even purposefully selling it, it is selling on its own. Must be some advertising out there I'm not aware of.
But I am more interested in live testimonials. I've not tried it myself yet....simply because I haven't had the time to decide which of 1000's of products I carry that I should be trying first!
Ann, please feel free to repost your PM to me here, if you are inclined. I think others might fight it useful as another tool to manage our crazy dogs!

Here's my experience with it:
I have tried every remedy there is for behavior modification on Barkley's reactive barking, lunging and spinning. I used this product once and it worked. After I used it for a day, judiciously, I started to see a change. I cannot believe it.
You do have to use this carefully, and as part of a program. First, you never spray it AT the dog. You spray it in the air, like you would an air freshener. The purpose is for it to make the noise. (And it is much noisier than, for instance, those cans of air you get for your computer) Then, when the dog is distracted and doesn't do the behavior, you must immediately praise. I use a target word too, like "Good boy quiet", so I can eventually just use "quiet" without the spray.
I would also suggest targeting one or two behaviors, not all of them at once. So, for instance, I've used it when Barkley runs and barks at things on the stove and the phone, but not the hairdryer, trash bags, etc etc etc. Pick your battles, and don't try to solve them all at once.
