Petco Obedience?!

I think the true quality of the training class is the instructor no matter where is it. A poor instructor or a training style your not comfortable with makes for a poor experience. It took me a while to find the trainer I go to(training philosphy, knowledge) but I glad I was so fussy. I enjoy every minute of training and my time in the building. I can't say that of some places I've gone.

Ok that is seriously the cutest thing EVER. :eek2: I think in a few more weeks I'm going to look into PetSmart obedience. It's either that or wait six more months for the kennel club to have another class. :dead:

You can always do petsmart classes in the mean time. That's what I did. I took petsmart classes until I was able to take classes at the non-profit dog club

I think it really does depend on the individual trainer, no matter where they work.

I went to a private place, and the lead trainer was o.k. but her assistant was useless. When Bacca wasn't responding to a certain command, she just kept insisting on doing it the same way. I started to cringe whenever she came near us.

The best trainers likely have their own businesses, however - they don't work at Petco or Petsmart.

But if all you want is socialization and some basics, the price is right.
