Phoebe can sit!

So obviously before bringing her home we made sure that we had stocked up on a few different varieties of puppy training treats. However, 8 week old Phoebe has NO interest in them whatsoever!
So today I boiled a chicken breast and she went nuts for a teeny sliver.
After two 5 minute sessions she can now sit on demand (with the promise of a piece of chicken in return of course).

I'm so proud oh her for being so smart so young, and happy iv found something that she responds to. We have been giving her plenty of positive praise for toilet training etc. but she doesn't seem to respond to that and looks at you like you're crazy.

After 5 minutes she ended up getting excited and/or bored so definitely short and sweet sessions for the time being.

Phoebe has already learned to sit? That's very good, she must be another smart Sheltie! At her age, 5 minutes is an eternity.

We're looking at the light at the end of the puppy tunnel with our boys (at 23 weeks) and boy am I tired.

I wouldn't trade this time for anything. Enjoy there puppiness now. Soon they will be well behaved perfect little dogs.

Congrats little girl! My boy was also sitting by 8 weeks. Gotta love little geniuses! Make sure to keep it nice and short and of course the yummy cookies!
