LOL.... doggies aren't allowed everywhere! Most of the glacier stuff was not dog friendly.

and where they are allowed, it can be kinda like walking a tightrope to get them there :(
I basically picked one thing a day I REALLY wanted to do, and that was early morning. That way I knew I would find parking. Everything else depended on being able to find parking which was not usually easy :(
The afternoon ridge hike we did (it was probably Banff, but just south of Jasper), gave us views of the glacier.
It was just a parkway pullover, and not one of the more popular ones (I think we started around 1-2PM).
I think we hit up a glacial lake around 3-4PM (daylight lasted until 8-9PM)
 
WoW!!! Amazing photos! You have some beautiful scenery pics, some great photos of Pico - he is VERY expressive! - the shots of you holding him are awesome and really show off his beautiful coloring, and that house on the lake - wow! But SNOW!!!!!! Yuck! :)

hm...house on lake? probably one of the resorts on the banff lakes. the one at maligne lake you have to use a shuttle (no on site parking).

Pico has very dramatic coloring. he is a light sable with a very dark overlay. and he does smile a lot :)
 
yeah...that is a resort. not sure if it's year round or not. Lake Louise does get ploughed so the resort there might be year round.
Maligne Lake in banff had what looked like condos as well and a cafe for tourists (the shuttle driver was saying close down in winter as they don't plough that road).

but the entire area is really popular for skiing.

Years ago we went to Banff (we drove ) and camped in I believe Banff National Park. We were tenting it, end of June and in the mornings it was cold enough for heavy frost on the tent. My mom’s hair had frost on it in the morning from sleeping too close to the tent!
We stayed in a hotel in Calgary and I remember sleep walking and trying to climb the walls…guess I thought I was mountain climbing?:ROFLMAO:
