Here is my first meeting with River when he was six weeks old. He looks sweet doesn't he? LOL! He is a handful! I had asked for a puppy that would be small and have correct ears. I originally wanted a female because it was all I knew. The breeder kind of picked him for me, thought he would be best, but wouldn't have insisted if I chose another. He fit the bill as he grew to be around 14" and 17 pounds. He is very high energy, so to keep him busy we have done two levels of obedience classes, and also trick training class. We earned our trick dog titles...novice, intermediate and advanced, just waiting for AKC to approve. I originally thought I might want to do therapy with him, but I think he is more suited to a sport of some kind. Would be more fun for him. I feel he was chosen for me by angels, as I thought I would prefer a more laid back dog, but he has challenged me in good ways, and pushed me to get out and involved in training, and lots of walks. Well, that's all for now! Lots more to tell later!
