Piper’s vet visit

I got a phone call from the vet this morning…I need to take Piper back in for more bloodwork. They didn’t get enough blood the last time to do the thyroid panel! No charge fortunately as that was an expensive one.
I was wondering why I hadn’t heard anything in a week!

And more bad news…the worst.
My mom had another heart attack yesterday. Her breathing is quite laboured…they’ve started her on hydromorphone to ease her discomfort. She does have a pacemaker and will disconnect it if she prefers. It would shorten the dying from days to hours.
I just pray she doesn’t linger…her wish is for a quick peaceful death.

Sorry to hear about Mom. The tough part is when medical aid out weighs quality of life with no upside coming for the suffering. I am sure she is proud of you for all the help and love you have given. And now depends on you to 'lose' a few crackers for her furry pals.
