Piper 6 months old

What an absolute doll-baby you have.........that 3rd picture with the tilted head is my favorite.

Thanks for sharing him with us.

Note: Our boy, Mally, turned 10 1/2 years old yesterday. I love seeing young dog sheltie pictures, they look so much like our Mally did.............lots of memories come to mind.

what a handsome lad

Yeppers, Piper is growing up to be quite the sheltie. Good looking boy you got there!!! And isn't it amazing how different puppyhood is remembered until you relive it, ha...I am so glad I survived that stage with the girls.. and soon Piper will be past that time, and if you are like me, I was so relieved...

Thanks for all the posts, puppyhood is an amazing thing to experience with a sheltie (my first, but not last), it's fascinating to see the changes they go through from puppy to adulthood. Even now at 6 months Piper has changed so much since I brought that little fur ball home at 10 weeks, his coat went from almost black at 10 wks to a rich mahogany color. I had him out at the breeders to get his ears done (again) and he's 13 1/4 inches tall and probably 14-15 pounds (haven't weighed him in over 2 weeks), the breeder is certain he'll be almost 15" tall (I hope she's right, he still seems so small). As mischievous as he can be, Piper is the sweetest, most loving dog I've ever owned, I'd move heaven and earth for this little guy:o, I love him so much.
Piper actually had his first level 1 obedience class last week, he didn't do so good on the heel so I've been working him all week with lots of walks (at least 2-3/day) and he's doing sooo much better! I walk him first and let him run and burn off energy (he has so much lol) then start on his heel and now he can walk beside me with slack on the leash, a definite improvement! We have a long way to go but I'm loving experiencing this with my sweet sheltie boy❤️.
