Playpen?

I bought mine second hand online so no idea of the cost of a new one.

I have 2 metal pens - one bought new and one bought off FB marketplace - I like that they go together well and store fairly flat. I think each gate may fold up to about 2 1/2 - 3" deep. We used to use them for the doxies, then used them for Deacon when he was a pup.

I also got our baby gates off FB marketplace. I had some plastic ones from the kids that I used with Brodie, but he ate through them. When we got Deacon, I was able to get 1 wooden gate (the one we travel with) and 2 metal gates that are walk through types with side expansions and all. We've definitely gotten our moneys worth from them. We used them with Deacon, then when we had our master bath done last year we were able to gate the dogs off so the guys could freely move in and out of the house. We used them with Gizmo to block off a bathroom for food and litter until he started using Rusty's boxes in the basement and also the family room so he had an open play area until we were confident the cats adn dogs would play nicely together.

What about a second hand baby gate on the entranceway to a bathroom? The bathroom is small, but the gate doesn’t make them feel shut in…more open? You can put a bed and water down. Maybe hide the toilet paper! lol. Again you could try it at home first.

That is an excellent idea! We did use a babygate when Oberon was a puppy to contain him to the area we wanted him to stay in. And we sometimes still occasionally put it up if we have visitors or other reasons (he sometimes does things he shouldn't in the living room) I'll check with hubby to see if we still have it and if so we'll just take that with us. The one we had (have?) is adjustable so it should fit.

We have a small tiled laundry room and that’s how we have it set up for Cooper if we are going to be gone longer than usual. He is safe and so is the house. lol.
