Please help!!

Liam was on that for months after his bowel surgery. The vet said it would be a long term thing for him. What I have done is add a good probiotic yogurt, making sure there is no artificial sweetener added, as well.

Also @Mally's Mom, I received your message but I am unable to message you back. I am a new member to this forum and none of my posts can be seen until approved so perhaps I am unable to utilize messaging until I have been here a while?

I am glad that you received my message, but I am not very good on computers.

Possibly, one of the moderators can chime in and answer your question.

Thanks in advance.

Anyway, I like the Natural Balance foods. You may be able to get a good probiotic to mix in with the food that will help beef up the bacteria in his gut. Until that is built up, he is going to have digestion problems.

Watson had some food issues when he came home as well. Though luckily no infections. We went through a number of kibble brands before settling on natural balance. He gets the venison sweet potato formula I think. He couldn't tolerate some of the higher end kibble and I got really efficient at giving a hind end bath. He still gets the natural balance in the morning but evenings he gets honest kitchen base mix and some raw meat. I've got him eating 4 different proteins so far and no issues but it took a while.

Hopefully once you can get his infections cleared up you will be able to get a better idea of whether or not they were the sole problem or if he has food issues too. Good luck from a fellow poop stalker!
