please tell me she is done growing!

It may help that you're dealing with a girl this time instead of a boy. In my experience at least, a boy who's riding the top is more likely to go over than a girl. The girls tend to stop growing sooner than the boys. I've seen boys continue growing until they're 18 months old.

That may help with the growing, but apparently i shouldnt of mentioned entering her in a show, she decided to go into heat for the first time today. :rolleyes2: Oh well at least she should be done by the 26th.

I think Dusty finally stopped growing at 18 months too. I think he wanted to be a collie

On a good note, most of them are done doing the majority of their growing by the time they come in. Maybe now she'll stop :)

You never know. Deska was about the same height until he was 12 months old and then had a growth spurt and ended up over 16". Oddly though he dropped a little in height as he got older (maybe a consequence of his bad elbows?). Now if I stack him right (hocks perpendicular to ground) I can get him measuring on or a smidgen under 16" which means he jumps at a lower height. Very important given his elbow problems.

well I am officially out of luck!! I just measured her today and she is now over 16 inches. :dead: So I guess I wont be going to the dog show this year. I just have to hope that she settles back in I guess.

Sheltie size is so frustrating  I thought for sure she was going to stay in size, for most of her puppyhood she was right in the middle of the charts for growth. At 6 months she was 14 inches then after that it all went downhill, or maybe I should say uphill (the growth chart, that is) :rolleyes2:

I totally feel your pain. My guy "settled" at 17 7/8" at 5 years old  Before that his official measurement was 18 3/8"
