I hope it's ok to post this request here. St Francis is in need of any help it can get so winning this grant contest would be a major boost. It costs people nothing but a mouse click but could make a world of difference if we win.

I volunteer at St Francis Animal Sanctuary. The majority of their funding comes from donations & sales at S&S Consignment Store. There is a contest sponsored by Chase where businesses that support charities can get votes which will give them a shot at winning a $150,000 grant. We need 250 votes to be in the running. I would vote but will not use Facebook...
I wish they would allow alternative means to help you to vote...
If you can find out another way we can get our vote in I would be happy to help.
 
Thanks for the support. I agree, I wish there was a way other than Facebook. I don't use Facebook either so am limited when it's a requirement. I'm going to contact the contest people to see if there's not another way to vote. Please share with people you know that do use Facebook until I find out. Two more days left so it's possible to get enough votes.
 
Thanks so much for everyone that voted. We were holding our breath because when I had checked early on the 16th we were at 247. So happy to have made it into consideration. Now the waiting starts. St Francis is the largest animal sanctuary in the Gulf Coast. They rescue cats on a small scale but have almost 400 dogs at times. Their budget comes from store sales, donations & grants so winning this would be a major boost.

If we happen to win , you will hear a howl of happiness from me.
