I'm pretty sure I've figured out why Sadie has been randomly yelping. Its so stupid of me, I don't know why I didn't figure it out before.
When I brushed her a few weeks ago I found a number of little knots of fur on her belly, between her back legs where the fur is long and the skin is very sensitive. I flipped her over and as gently as possible removed the knots.
Its been weeks since she's yelped and it suddenly occurred to me that it was probably due to the knots. Duh!
Oh well, that's one less thing to worry about!
