It's a sad day when one of us loose's one of our family member's. We lost Cruiser back in May of this year .He was six and a half and came down with Cancer. We tried everything we could to keep him alive.Chemo, blood transfusions every thing. But the man up stairs wanted our son more. It was very had on us this time ,I guess it's because were up in ago now. We've been married 47 years and have always had a Dog ,some times more then one. I retired 12 years ago and I didn't know who would last longer ,Cruiser or me. The house was so lonely after his passing that I finally dicided to get another Shelty. I picked us a Shelty male from an Amish farmer in PA. He was born in a stable .We named him Willy. Some times it's Silly Willy. This boy is a trip. He never tires out .He will play fetch until my arm feels like it will fall off.He loves to go out in the rain and run all over the place. He will stand next to me when I have the garden hose in my hand and not run away. Cruiser would never do that. He has what I call spazz attack. He runs up and down the hall as fast as he can making fast sharp turns. My wife has made him into a lap dog tone thing odd about him is he has golden colored fur and it's short. except for a bow tie under his jaw. He is so funny and hignly spirited. In some way I'd swear Criuser had come back in Willy. The breeder that we got Cruiser from is going to breed a special female Shelty with Cruiser Dad .We hope to get a female sometime this winter or early spring. Her name will be Penny. We know the emptynish that you feel. That's why we got Willy. We're a family again. I buried Cruiser in back of our house facing our Bedroom window.
