Preparing to say Goodbye

Thankyou for sharing such a wonderful story of your lives with a very special dog. Please write to us again, I am thinking of you, and have been where you are. It is very hard.
Karen

What a beautiful note you wrote. Take comfort in knowing that you gave Shiraz a wonderful life, with never a moments worry. He thanks you. He asked you to make the hard decision on what was best for him, and you did, through your own grief and pain. You were a loving master until the last kiss goodbye.

Stay strong and take care. I feel your pain & your loss, it is still so fresh in my mind. I send my prayers to you and Boo sends his hugs...God Bless you at this time!!!!

A poem I remember

God looked around his garden, and he found an empty place, He then looked down upon the earth, and saw your precious face. He put His arms around you, and lifted you to rest; God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain, He knew you'd never ever, get well on earth again. So He closed your weary eyelids, and whispered "Peace be Thine," He took you up to Heaven, With hands so gentle and kind. It broke my heart to lose you,but you did not go alone, for part of me went with you, The day God took you home.

I hope this helps a little, Buddy

My sincerest and heartfelt sympathies to you and your family. I can't even imagine how difficult and painful the last few days have been for you. Please take comfort in knowing that you gave Shiraz the ultimate gift of love. You said goodbye to him when HE was ready, not when YOU were. His memory will live on in your hearts forever.
