Has anyone experience their dogs acting like they are constipated when they actually aren't?
My two have been showing signs of constipation, incl trying to poop more often and nothing coming out, and boot scooting. This has been going on for about a week and I have ruled out everything else (worms, food, poop chute). They have their normal daily bowel movements and normal consistency stools, its just all the additional attempts.
Another dog they play had been showing similar symptoms a few weeks ago and was put on antibiotics and it cleared up, I remember the owner saying it was some stomach inflammation, so I am assuming they could have the same thing. But I am a bit short on cash this fortnight so I want to avoid the vet.
Any thoughts what this could be and possible cures or interim measures until next pay?
