puppy is tugging on clothing

I solved it by getting another Sheltie when Bacca was 10 months old - so that they could hang on each other instead of me!
Best. Solution. Ever.

Haha I still havr this problem with Lucien, who is almost 3 months. It's getting a bit less frequent, but I'm the only one who noticed it, being his favourite chew toy. My two cents is that if he discovers there are far better things to chew on, he will leave your pants alone.

If Dandie does get too crazy with it, we just scream "ow" really shrilly and loud. She snaps out of it and comes for pets because she thought she hurt us.

Never had that problem with Fluff. She's a secret chewer. :uhoh:

Smudge tore several holes in the bottom legs of my pants, and I had to buy new work clothes (the pants really needed to be replaced anyway, which was how he ripped holes in them so easily). Bringing Fluff home didn't stop him either. When Smudge first came home it was when I had JUST went to the emergency room and had to have stitches put in my finger. A cart at work tore it wide open. When I screamed OW! And ignored him it didn't stop him at all from feasting on my hurt finger. Puppy teeth HURT.

So I gave the little sucker a job. He either sits or does down. No more holes in the pants.

Holes in your pants.
Holes in your pants.
Looking like a FOOL with them holes in your pants.

Thanks everyone for the ideas. We are still using the "no bite" routine and spraying the shoes and pant legs with bitter cherry. He is slowly coming around.
