quarantine bath time

I can walk (mostly) again!
the darn toe is still all blue, but doesn't hurt as much even when I walk.
it seems that everytime I put pressure on the nail a little blood squirts out from the nailbed.

Gavin is all nice and fluffy though :)

Unfortunately, Gavin's newfound fluffiness coincides with a warming of the temperature here.
so he isn't as snuggly as he normally is and isn't sleeping with me very long at night.

the to is moving onto a nice purple-red color. so much prettier than the initial blue or the eventual yellow hue it will become

Boy Cindy, you really must've hit it hard to have it turn colour like that! I think of alol the times I stubbed my toe I never bruised it. Can you bend it at all without pain? Or walk normally yet!

walking has improved every day. barely hurts today..tomorrow we will go on our walk and see how I do :)

all I did was slip on a wet floor (Courtesy of my newly clean fluffball), and stub my toe on the baseboard. seriously, that was it.

I once opened my fridge freezer and a pound of ground beef fell out of the freezer and landed on my foot (I'd frozen it in a ball...big mistake lol). I'd seriously thought I'd broken something. Ended up being just bruised but ouch!
Ya they don't do much for toes...sometimes they'll tape them though if it's bad but that's about it.
Glad your feeling better Cindy, next time Gavin gets a bath wear shoes lol.

we had a good walk this morning. maybe not quite the normal range of movement, but the toe wasn't really hurting me.
So I think it is safe to say I am well on my road to.....somewhere within 5 miles of my home!

The bay area is opening up for construction this coming Monday.
I head back to work in ~2 weeks; scheduling is gonna be all over the map for months to come since part of staying healthy is avoiding people at work.
Since everyone seems to want to work 10-6, that means weekends and either mornings or evenings. Unless and Until work steps up and starts structuring people's schedules a bit more.
so far they have left it up to the individuals but that isn't really going to work long term.

Gavin really is THAT dog that makes you realize he just wants to be with you, no matter where that is.
and he nice and fluffy and silky now, that lasts about 3-4 weeks usually. probably around the time I can start taking him to the beach again (hopefully).
